Redesign of Evento Vision - EVENTO, is a sophisticated campus management system designed specifically to meet the needs of Swiss educational institutions, including universities and Hochschules.
My Role
Working on Evento Vision for 2.5 years,
I designed the system's User Interface (UI) with its components and style, and User Experience (UX).
Streamlining Administrative Processes
I have focused on simplifying complex data structures and streamlining administrative processes across educational institutions in Switzerland.
Inclusive, Standards-Compliant Design
I ensured our designs adhered to WCAG and Zürich Kanton accessibility standards, making the system inclusive and user-friendly.

Our Users
University Adminisration
Our major user group is administration staff — power users — who manage large processes such as enrollments, ECTS assignments, and more.
Grantors / Teachers
Teachers use Evento to manage administrative tasks related to their students.
Students
Students use Evento for all their administrative processes, such as course enrollment, applying for leave, and more.
Transforming University's Administrative Processes
My contributions at EVENTO have centered on a thorough redesign of complicated administrative workflows. By making these processes more intuitive and user-friendly, Evento Team enabled educational institutions to more effectively manage, store, and access critical data, thereby significantly improving operational efficiency and data accessibility.
Streamlining Processes
Diverse interfaces were designed to support various administrative processes, primarily used by secretaries and other administrative staff. These interfaces cater to diverse tasks, ensuring efficiency and ease of use.
Why Right-aligned?
The primary users of Evento for administration are power users who prefer to quickly "scan" the page rather than read in detail. This was a key factor in aligning all action fields vertically for better efficiency and usability.
Complex Structures
Most interfaces for grantors and teachers consist of complex structures like tables, grids, and cards, allowing them to process large amounts of data quickly and efficiently.

Students Interface
Student interfaces
For students, the emphasis was made on mobile interfaces, as our research showed that they prefer to have an access to the processes "on-the-go".
Key Elements
This involved defining and standardizing essential design components such as color palettes, typography styles, and iconography to ensure consistency across our product interfaces. I also established guidelines for grids, spacing, corner radius, and shadow effects to create a cohesive visual structure.

UI Components
I designed a comprehensive library of UI components that were essential for building consistent and scalable interfaces. The library included 40+ design components.
Fully documented for developers
I designed a comprehensive library of UI components that were essential for building consistent and scalable interfaces. The library included 40+ design components.
Adaptable to diverse Branding
As the Evento Vision system is applied across more than eight Swiss educational institutions, its library was built to be adaptive and easily adjustable to each university's unique branding.
Adherence to WCAG and Canton Zurich's Accessibility Standards
Ensuring that the design and functionality of a Evento digital products comply with both the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and specific accessibility requirements set by Canton Zurich. This involved creating interfaces that are usable and accessible to people with disabilities, ensuring inclusivity, and meeting legal and ethical standards for accessibility.
